Ed Varon is a Los Angeles native. He attended University High School in West Los Angeles and California State
University at Long Beach. Immediately after college, Ed embarked on a career in banking working for various
financial institutions including Western Savings, Home Savings, Weyerhauser Corporation, Countrywide and Bank
of America.
Ed became a loan officer in 1989 and worked for both direct lenders and mortgage
brokers. He made the career decision to join Pacifica Mortgage in 2002 so that his clients could benefit from
their mortgage banking expertise. This has allowed Ed (and his clients) to have the best of both worlds: the
control and efficiency of a direct lender and the wide array of products offered by a broker.
While Ed assists many different types of clients, he specializes in obtaining financing for home buyers. Ed
prides himself on being accessible and extremely responsive to his client's need. Additionally he believes
that his patience and the ability to clearly explain the lending process are essential to keeping his clients
happy.
Ed is an avid mountain biker, an accomplished photographer and holds a competition license for auto
racing.
